Executive Summary

Britt is an Assistant Insolvency Manager in BDO Cayman's corporate recovery and insolvency subsidiary office, BDO CRI (Cayman) Ltd.

Boasting more than 7 years of accounting experience with BDO, firstly in audit in South Africa and then in the Cayman Islands, Britt has spent the last 3 years specialising in insolvency, restructuring and corporate recovery. Within the BDO CRI team, Britt has gained extensive experience and industry knowledge, particularly leading various Voluntary Liquidation engagements and working on Official Liquidations. In 2023, Britt obtained the INSOL International Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law (2022/2023).

 

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Britt is a Chartered Accountant of South Africa with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (“SAICA”), and is an active member the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (“CIIPA”), the Recovery & Insolvency Specialists' Association (“RISA”) which is the local INSOL affiliate, as well as the Cayman Islands chapter of the International Women in Restructuring Confederation (“IWIRC Cayman”).

Britt has been a member of CIIPA’s Training Committee since 2022 and was appointed as Secretary on RISA’s Membership & Communications Committee in June 2024.

 

EDUCATION

Britt obtained a Bachelors Degree from the University of South Africa in Accounting Science, Accounting and Business/Management in 2013, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences, Accounting and Business Management in 2016.

In 2023, Britt obtained the INSOL International Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law (2022/2023).
